SUMMARY

Presented as part of Fells Point Corner Theatre's Salon Series, Try the Musical is a collaboratively created workshop musical focusing on the drive to keep on going. An addict confesses, an old woman faces death, a priest faces an exorcism, a young woman explores her sexuality, and an ex-cop seeks redemption.

ABOUT THE PLAY

Larry Malkus was one of a series of playwrights who wrote scenes which were then used as inspiration for songs created by local lyricist Chris Hart, and composer Mike Winemiller. Other playwrights included Christopher Hart, Emely Rodriguez, Ally Waldron, Larry Malkus and Kimberley Lynne. The workshop performance featured the performing talents of Adrienne Cassara, Derek Cooper, Zipporah Brown Gladden, J Purnell Hargrove, B Thomas Rinaldi, Valarie Perez Schere, and Shelby Sullivan with vocal coaching by Rachel Sandler
